It’s the last week for my art show at the Barbara Mendes Gallery! The show Country and City: Art by Rick Cummings and Joe Linton closes a week from yesterday – Wednesday July 15th. The gallery is open Sunday through Thursday, 12noon-7pm; the address is 2701 South Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles 90034. We’re going to have an informal closing party this Sunday, August 12th 2012, from 4-7pm. There will be snacks and beverages! I’ll be there to sign books, answer questions, kiss babies, etc. I’ll bring a few of my sketchbooks for folks to look through (people seem to like that.)
And, I’ll be leading a group bicycle ride to go to the Sunday August 12th 2012 closing reception. We’ll be departing at 3pm from the lobby of Los Angeles Eco-Village – 117 Bimini Place, LA 90004. Gather about 2:45pm, then depart at 3pm. It’s an 8-mile ride one-way, very relaxed pace, not a race – mostly on fairly quiet streets. We’ll also do the return leg departing the gallery at 7pm.
If you want to try to join us en-route, we’ll go west on 4th, south on Cochran, west on Venice Blvd, right/west on Cattaraugus. There’s no rsvp required for anything, but if you want to make sure that the ride doesn’t leave without you, drop me an rsvp at linton.joe [at] gmail.com
