So… I won an art contest in 1976, with this drawing:
Ice Cream is a Birthday Fantasy, late 1975 or early 1976, pen on paper, about 3'x3'
The original which was about 3′x3′ in color, but all that remains is the above photograph of it, and this article below from the Orange County Register, June 24th 1976. The drawing was somewhat inspired by the Beatles movie Yellow Submarine. I was twelve years old and won first place nationwide for the 6-12 year old category, though it was actually sort of tied-for-third-place as there was an overall grand prize winner, a runner up, and then three age category first place winners.
